Belleville Congregational Church Presents Kathleen Brittan and David Morrow in Concert of Voice and Piano, Sunday, March 21 at 2:00 pm, admission is free; however, a free will offering for the church is requested. The concert will last approximately 1 hour.
Belleville's special worship service remembering Jesus' last supper with his disciples begins at 7 p.m. on the Thursday before Easter, April 1st. You are invited to share a potluck meal beforehand at 6 p.m. and then stay for the service of Tenebrae. Tenebrae (pronounced tén-eh-bray) is a service of scripture readings that tell the story of Jesus’ trial, crucifixion, and burial, accompanied by the gradual extinguishing of candles. We will leave the darkened stage room in silence. Tenebrae is a very beautiful and moving service.
Bread and beverage will be provided by Fellowship & Outreach Board. If you would like to help set up beforehand on Wednesday evening, March 31st, or clean up on Friday morning, there will be sign up sheets available in the Bannister room.
