Come join us for an evening of Southwestern and Mexican music, both traditional and original!
In 2009 Linda Ronstadt's brother Michael J. Ronstadt and his sons, Michael G. and Petie, formed Ronstadt Generations. Three additional musicians—Alex Flores, Sam Eagon and Aaron Emery—joined the band to form Ronstadt Generations y Los Tucsonenses (the Tucsonans) in 2012, adding a colorful dimension to an already powerful presentation that respects tradition while exploring innovation.
Michael J. Ronstadt passed away in August, 2016. His sons, Michael G. (cello/vocals) and Petie (guitar / vocals), and Los Tucsonenses (Alex Flores (tenor saxophone / vocals), Sam Eagon (bass), and Aaron Emery (percussionist / drummer) carry on his musical legacy with Ronstadt Generations y Los Tucsonenses.
Their repertoire preserves the traditional Southwestern and Mexican songs of their heritage while offering innovative original material. New compositions place them on the cutting edge of multiple, blended genres, stretching the boundaries of folk, blues, world, jazz and beyond. They sing rich harmonies in both Spanish and English.
