About our Venues

Belleville Roots uses two performance spaces for its concerts, the historic 1867 Meetinghouse and the smaller, more intimate Stage Room in the adjacent Fiske Chapel complex. Both venues are part of Belleville Congregational Church at 300 High Street in Newburyport. The Meetinghouse provides seating for 500 on its main and balcony levels. The smaller Stage Room has a capacity of 250 for dances (limited seating available) or 175 for seated concerts.

Both performance venues are wheelchair accessible, as are the restrooms adjacent to the Stage Room.

Food and Drink

Before the show, during the show and during intermission, we offer: soda, bottled water, coffee, tea, warm apple cider, pre-packaged snacks and freshly-baked items compliments of Belleville Church hospitality (donations greatly appreciated and benefit the church). For the 11/17 and 3/2 concerts, wine and beer will be available for purchase (subject to change) and benefits Belleville Roots.

Doors open at 7 p.m. (one hour before the concert start time). All seating is on a first-come basis; there is no reserved seating. For special accommodations, please email us in advance at

There is FREE on-street parking available on High Street and Chapel Street. Please be kind to our neighbors and do not block driveways. The entrance is handicap-accessible via a ramp off high street. For special accommodations, please contact us in advance at
